Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray has strongly supported Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's serious allegations of vote rigging. He has alleged that the Election Commission of India (ECI) has weakened the foundation of democracy in the country by allowing fraudulent practices.

Aaditya Thackeray posted on Twitter that Rahul Gandhi has once again exposed the "fraud" in the Election Commission, which has enabled the Bharatiya Janata Party to gain control of various states through vote-rigging. He wrote that Rahul Gandhi's presentation on "Vote Stealing" should be watched by every Indian, regardless of their political affiliation, because the topic is about the value of every citizen's vote.

Thackeray said, "The world is seeing that our electoral process is no longer free and fair. This issue is not about politics or ideology, but about the value of our vote. When the Election Commission allows a party to place fake voters on the voter lists, the value of your vote becomes zero."

"It doesn't matter who wins or loses, every Indian's vote should be given equal value," he said.

Thackeray also recalled that his party had recently presented evidence of alleged voter fraud in Worli and other constituencies in Maharashtra. But the Election Commission did not take any action on it.

Supporting Thackeray's views, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi said that the removal of eligible voters and inclusion of ineligible people in the list is a systematic, i.e. organised, method. He requested the Election Commission to break the silence and take independent action instead of reading the script written by the BJP.

His comments come after Rahul Gandhi's allegations against the BJP and the Election Commission regarding alleged vote rigging in the Haryana elections.

Rahul Gandhi claimed that as many as 25 lakh fake votes were cast in the Haryana elections. One in every eight voters was a fake voter. He also said that his team had found 5.21 lakh duplicate voter records, some of which had different names under their photos.
