Meetings are going to be held in Mumbai from Friday at the Mahavikas Aghadi regarding the distribution of seats in the Lok Sabha elections. Newly appointed state in-charge Ramesh Chennithala announced that meetings of workers from block level to mandal level would be held in the next two months in view of the elections. 


Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP are the three main parties in Mahavikas Aghadi. The first joint meeting was held in Delhi on Tuesday (January 9) regarding seat distribution in the Lok Sabha elections. It is understood that some undisputed seats were agreed upon in that meeting, as decided in the meeting held in Delhi, the leaders of the three parties in the state should sit together and discuss as many seats as possible constituency wise, which two or three parties will claim the seats, the dispute over those seats will be resolved at the Delhi level. According to this, leaders of the three parties involved in Mahavikas Aghadi will hold meetings for three days from tomorrow.

Speaking at the state executive meeting, Chennithalla said, positive discussions have also been held on seat allocation in Maharashtra through Mahavikas Aghadi and the final decision will be taken soon. He said that in the next one and a half to two months, review meetings will be organised in six divisions of the state, after which meetings of the party organisation will be reviewed by organising meetings at the district level and block level.
