Mumbai - It is a dream of Shiv Sena to construct a theme park on the Race course. But this dream seems not to come true due to BMC’s new lease policy. The party corporators stopped the lease policy which was recently passed in the improvements committee meeting. The senior party leaders had lashed at their junior colleagues for not opposing this bill in the improvements committee meeting.
It was expected that Shiv Sena will oppose this policy in the BMC and it happened. The decision on this proposal is likely to be taken only after the municipal elections. This has stopped the leasing process of 236 plots. The lease contract of these plots came to an end three years back but the BMC has not yet taken possession of these plots nor the lease has been renewed.
