NCP supremo and veteran politician Sharad Paward turned 80 today, on December 12. To mark this occasion, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) had launched a new scheme known as the “Sharad Pawar Gram Samrudhi Yojana” with the aim to improve rural development. This move was decided upon by the Uddhav Thackeray-led MVA coalition government to honour the senior politician.

Sharad Pawar, a former Union minister and Maharashtra chief minister, is one of the strongest opposition leaders who shares a good rapport with all political leaders.

Therefore, many political leaders, across various parties have poured in wishes and greeted Pawar on his 80th birthday. Moreover, the Twiterrati also did not forget to shower their love and blessings to the stalwart politician. The senior leader is also respected across parties.

In his greetings to NCP chief, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, "Best wishes to Sharad Pawar ji on his birthday. May Almighty bless with good health and a long life." Responding to the PM's wishes, Pawar tweeted, "Humbled to receive your love and good wishes on my birthday."

 

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray greeted Sharad Pawar, describing him as the pillar of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government in the state. "We hope that he continues to have the same energy and enthusiasm. We wish Sharad Pawar saheb, who is the pillar of MVA, a senior leader and guide, good health and long life," Thackeray said.

 

Daughter Supriya Sule posted an emotional birthday wish on Twitter along with a beautiful picture with her father. "Despite crossing eight decades of his life, Pawar Saheb is just as enthusiastic today as he was. His energy to work tirelessly inspires us all. I wish you a long and healthy life. Happy birthday," Sule wrote on the microblogging site.

Former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, former chief minister and Congress leader Ashok Chavan, Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjay Raut, Union minister Nitin Gadkari, among others also wished Pawar sahab.
