Shiv Sena turns down BJP for alliance; Uddhav Thackeray refuses to meet BJP leader

The meeting between the Shiv Sena chief and BJP leader was postponed for two days as the tension between both the parties is at its peak. There is no hope for an alliance in the upcoming elections

In a press conference after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s foundation day function, BJP President Amit Shah was confident that Shiv Sena would form an alliance with them in the upcoming elections next year. However, Shiv Sena has hit hard on BJP’s face by denying its willingness to form an alliance with them.

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Monday said that BJP is trying to persuade Shiv Sena to form an alliance but “the alliance will never happen.” This comes after talks about the meeting of State Finance Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray.

As the Maharashtra elections are lined up next year, BJP’s Mungantiwar tried to meet Uddhav Thackeray on Monday and but the meeting was postponed more than once. However, in reality, Thackeray refuses to give time to the BJP leader. Earlier, Uddhav Thackeray challenged Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to open his mind.

This means that the difference between both parties has increased. The responsibility of making Shiv Sena form an alliance with the BJP is put on Sudhir Mungantiwar but Uddhav Thackeray refuses to meet him.
