Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray on Friday praised the Anganwadi workers for their struggle and said that the fight will continue until their demands are met.


I admire the Anganwadi workers for their struggle and the fight shall continue until their demands are met,” Shiv Sena chief, Uddhav Thackeray at Shiv Sena Bhavan. 

Earlier, the Women and Child Welfare Department of Maharashtra government decided to apply Maharashtra Essential Service Maintenance Act (MESMA) to Anganwadi workers but the decision was revoked by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis after the opposition and Shiv Sena protested.

After that, the Anganwadi workers went to meet Uddhav Thackeray at Shiv Sena Bhavan and he narrated that government schemes - like Shining India, Make in India, and Start-Up India - are a failure. The work carried out by the workers is the real deal, Shiv Sena chief added.
