Popular novelist Shobhaa De is known to be opinionated when it comes to social issues and has frequently shared her opinion on social media. But besides this, Shobaa is frequently trolled for her views and comments and so it comes as no surprise that she has managed to get herself in the same situation, yet again.

Yesterday, Home Minister Amit Shah revoked Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and in place made two new union territories.

There are many celebrities like Kangana Ranaut and Gul Panag that have welcomed the move with open arms. But, Shobhaa De, on the other hand, posted a sarcastic tweet regarding the traffic in Mumbai's Sakinaka area and connected it with the revoking of article 370.

In her tweet, she mentioned,

Due to waterlogging and the construction work that is on various parts, traffic snarls are something that the Mumbaikars have been dealing with for quite a while. However, at this juncture Twitterati did not find humour in Ms. De's tweet, questioning her objective, meaning and the timing of it.

Here are some strong replies she received:

Shobhaa De was not the only celebrity who was subjected to trolling with regards to Article 370. Director, Producer Anurag Kashyap too received a lot of flak from the Twitterati for his tweet regarding Article 370.

He tweeted,

“Cannot say much about article 370 or 35A. I am still trying to understand its implications, history, and facts. Sometimes I feel it should have been revoked and sometimes I feel why it needed to go. Neither am I a Kashmiri Pandit nor Kashmiri Muslim. My Kashmiri friend tells me that the story of Kashmir is like Roshomon. It has many facets. They are all right and all wrong. All I do know is that how all this was implemented that was not correct”.

While Kashyap's tweet was neutral or sarcastic in nature, the ones who were in favour of the decision, replied with their thoughts on his tweet.

Here are some of the comments that he had received for this tweet:

Do you think the trolls were unreasonably harsh on these celebrities or do they deserve to get an earful?
