On Wednesday, June 15, Maharashtra cabinet minister, Aaditya Thackeray reached Ayodhya and offered his prayers at the Ram Temple. After this, he undertook a press conference wherein he clarified that his visit to the temple is not for political benefits. 

Thackeray was quoted elaborating on how he and Shiv Sena leaders visited the location for religious reasons and there is not any political benefit to it.

Moreover, he added that a Maharashtra Sadan will be constructed in Ayodhya for all devotees from the state. For this, he said the state Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will talk to the UP CM Yogi Adityanath about a place for the building. 

Further, the junior Thackeray uttered that Shiv Sena's Hindutva is to keep its promise to the citizens. He then went on to remind the public that Shiv Sena supremo, Balasaheb Thackeray once asked him to visit UP's ISKCON temple.

According to narratives, the Mumbai suburban guardian minister arrived in Lucknow at nearly 11 am from where he travelled to Ayodhya via road. More than, 1,000 Shiv Sena party workers had already reached the town.

Prior to his arrival, on Tuesday, June 14, senior Shiv Sena leaders Sanjay Raut and Eknath Shinde reached the town to oversee the arrangements made. 

On the other hand, earlier MNS Chief Raj Thackeray had cancelled his Ayodhya visit. Following this, Shiv Sena declared Aaditya Thackeray's visit to Ayodhya
