Bandra- Shiv Sena gave back to back jolts to BJP by taking Hardik Patel to its side. Hardik Patel, who is well known for his Patidhar agitation, today met Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray at Matoshree.
Uddhav Thackeray in a press conference said that BJP is serving its notice period and soon it will be relieved. He also announced Hardik Patel as Sena’s face for Gujrat. As Patel is said to be influential among the Gujarati’s who are a large number of voters of BJP.
By roping in Patel, Uddhav has proven the famous dialogue ‘Dushman ka Dushman dost hota hai.'
Sena seems to be consolidating its position post the break up of the alliance with the BJP.
When Patel was asked about the reason of his meeting with the Sena Uddhav Thackeray at Matoshree, he said that it was a personal meeting and he came to meet his friends. He also added that there is nothing wrong in meeting people who follow similar ideologies.
It will be interesting to see how the Hardik Patel card works for the Sena and whether BJP will take any congnizance of this move.
