Mumbai- Maharashtra Pradesh Congress, Gujrati cell president Shabrath Dhanani will join the Shiv Sena on Thursday, in the presence of Shiv Sena chief Uddjhav Thackeray. A large number of his supporters are also likely to shift to the saffron brigade.
Uddhav Thackeray while speaking at the press conference, said that till now there is no proposal of the alliance by BJP. The discussions on the alliance could start from today. He added that 3 representatives from each party will be there to discuss the matter and the final call will be taken by him and Devendra Fadnavis.
On being asked, whether BJP was their opponent in the upcoming BMC polls, Uddhav said that he was never pessimistic about the alliance and all the doubts regarding the alliance will be cleared very soon.
On being probed about using the Hindutva card amongst the gujarati community, Uddhav replied that all Gujarati people knew who stood with them since 1992-93 and he does not need any approvals to prove that he is a devout Hindu.
