Third-seeded Amardeep Bartakke (ELO 2049) and 15-year-old Krishna Malay displayed a tremendous performance at the SBI Life All Maharashtra FIDE Rating Chess Tournament.

The tie ended at 2.5-2.5 each which was held at Russian Centre for Science & Culture, Peddar Road.

The 15-year-old pressurised Amardeep and fans were quite surprised by his brilliant performance. Third-seeded Amardeep made 50 moves while Malay played his game.

On Board No.4, fourth-seeded Santosh Khedekar (ELO 2015) faced off against Prajapal Shendre (ELO 1324) which also ended in a 2.5-2.5 draw. The game began very patiently as both the competitors very calculative and slow with their moves but with time, the speed picked up and the game got interesting but fairly ended in a draw.

FIDE master Sajandas Joshi, Gopal Rathod and Ketan Patil gained a 3-0 lead against their opponents.
