Mumbaikar Swapnil Shah(1705) played exceedingly well to draw his 6th round game with leader Kishan Gangolli(1973) at the IBCA Asian Chess Championships for the blind being played at the Manipal University, Udupi. Swapnil made some fantastic moves and the game stretched up to 59 moves. But Kisan Gangolli who has been unbeatable in this tournament managed to defend well and both players shared 1/2 point each.

The other Mumbaikars faired well too as Shirish Patil(1681) won his game beating Milind Samant(1621) in 33 moves.

In an all Mumbai clash in the 6th round, Sachin Waghmare(1600) beat Vaishali Salavkar(1431) in 44 moves. Both players fought hard but Sachin held his nerve to checkmate Vaishali,

2 more rounds remain in this Asian Chess Championships.
