Old currency notes can fetch you new bike
Mulund - On the backdrop of demonetization of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes, Mulund-based Vardani Auto has launched a unique scheme under which new bike will be given in exchange of old currency notes. The Central government had announced on Tuesday that currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 denominations were to be scrapped. The government had clearly said that these currency notes could be exchanged or accepted only at petrol pumps, hospitals, railway stations, medical stores etc within stipulated time frame. The said scheme at Vardayni Auto is a violation of government norms. When this reporter contacted Vardayni Auto in this regard, owner Vikram Kadam refused to speak.
