Hawkers on the footpath have always been a big concern for the Mumbaikars. They capture the footpath due to which one has no option left but to travel on the road. This increases the chances of accident and even aggravates traffic congestion.
Commuters in Sion Koliwada are facing loads of problems at the hands of hawkers. Several times complaints have ben registered against them, but to their dismay hawkers are not ready to move.
Commuter Rupali Pawar told Mumbai Live, they must go and set up their stall in the market, not on the road creates the problem for commuters. Commuters have given a written complaint to oust hawkers to a different place.
