Bhakti Bhavan- The Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan has spawned a rash of toilets across the country, most of them welcomed by harried locals. But the toilet coming up at Chembur's Bhakti Bhavan is not being welcomed with open arms by residents. Locals and shop owners alike are protesting against the construction of this toilet. "There is a sugar candy factory next to the proposed toilet. There is bound to be a foul smell emanating from the toilet once it is functional. Hence, we are demanding that the location of this toilet be changed," said Subhash Marathe, a local resident. He added that the residents have given a letter to the ward office and if the civic administration does not act on it, the residents will protest against it.
