Shilpa Shetty's husband, Raj Kundra, was arrested on July 19, 2021, in connection with a pornographic film case. On Tuesday, September 20, he was granted bail by a magistrate court in Mumbai on Rs. 50,000 surety.

The businessman had filed a bail plea and claimed that there was no evidence against him proving that he was actively involved in creating the alleged porn content. He believes that he was being made a scapegoat in the case.

He allegedly created pornographic films and published them through some apps. As per reports, he made pornographic videos under the pretext of hiring people.

The police had summoned a total of nine people for questioning. 

The police had also received some important information from his computers and mobile phones, as per media reports.

According to the reports, the police found around 24 hard discs which were seized by the Mumbai police and found 35 movies in them.

Recently, on August 2, 2021, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty decided to break her silence about the case. She had urged people to respect her family's privacy and added that they do not need to undergo a media trial.
