A few days back, actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan had tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). They were undergoing treatment at home for a few days. However, on July 17, 2020, both of them have been admitted at Mumbai's Nanavati hospital, and are said to have mild symptoms of COVID-19.
The news about Aishwarya and Aradhya was released a day after Amitabh Bachchan and her husband Abhishek Bachchan tested positive for coronavirus. They were admitted at Nanavati Hospital on July 11, 2020.
Abhishek took to Twitter to share the news about Aishwarya and Aradhya. He wrote,“ Aishwarya and Aaradhya have also tested COVID-19 positive. They will be self-quarantining at home. The BMC has been updated of their situation and are doing the needful. The rest of the family including my Mother have tested negative. Thank you all for your wishes and prayers.”
As per reports, Jaya Bachchan and Shweta Nanda tested negative for coronavirus. However, their bungalows 'Jalsa' and others were sanitised by the BMC as per protocols.
Besides them, TV actors Parth Samthaan and Shrenu Parikh also tested positive for coronavirus. Upon knowing the details about Parth's status, Balaji Telefilms halted the shoot of Star Plus show, Kasautii Zindagi Kay. Meanwhile, Shrenu Parikh is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Gujarat.
Bollywood actress Rekha's house was also sealed on July 11, 2020, after one of her security guards tested positive. Reports following that stated that some more guards were also positive for COVID-19, however, Rekha denied getting tested for the virus.
