Amid the political deadlock in Maharashtra, the political parties are drowned in meetings while figuring out ways to form a stable government in the state.

On November 12, the President’s rule was imposed in the state as no party was able to form the government in Maharashtra.

After Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) refused to stake claim, the major game remains among three players including Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Congress to form the government in Maharashtra.

Amid the political turmoil, the parties tried protecting their MLAs fearing the possible horse-trading in Maharashtra. While Shiv Sena kept its newly elected 56 MLAs at a hotel in Bandra, Congress had shifted its 44 MLAs to Jaipur.

However, the Congress MLAs returned to Mumbai on Wednesday and were asked to visit the farmers in Maharashtra by party’s state President Balasaheb Thorat.

Now, BJP leader Ranjitsinh Nimbalkar has claimed that their party is in touch with nine MLAs from NCP. After the President’s rule was imposed, BJP has become active in the state.

Earlier, BJP MP Narayan Rane said that the party has asked for his help to provide a stable government in Maharashtra. If  Nimbalkar’s claims are to believed, the BJP is trying to form the government in the state.

After Rane’s remarks, Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan had said that they are alert on the possible horse-trading of MLAs and would prevent the same.
