After Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray met West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, it is being speculated that Enforcement Directorate (ED) may summon the MNS chief in the next week over his alleged role in the purchase of Kohinoor Mill No 3.

The ED is investigating the loan and equity investment worth ₹860 crore provided by Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services (IL&FS) to Kohinoor CTNL which is founded by Unmesh Joshi, the son of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Manohar Joshi.

Earlier, under the banner of Kohinoor CTNL, Thackeray and Joshi had constructed a multi-story tower named Kohinoor square in Dadar’s Shivaji Park. Therefore, the MNS chief is under the radar of ED in this probe.

The ED has already recorded an official statement about the matter from the Chief Financial officer of Kohinoor CTNL and as per the sources, the central agency intends to call Thackeray for the same.
