Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday spoke to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over the phone and expressed his concern over the “inhuman” killings of two sadhus in Bulandshahr.

While speaking to the Uttar Pradesh CM, Uddhav Thackeray said that they are with him and against the inhuman act while hoping that the Uttar Pradesh government will take action against the accused. Moreover, Uddhav Thackeray also said that no communal angle should be given to such incidents.

The official handle of Chief Minister Office (CMO) informed about the conversation between Uddhav Thackeray and Yogi Adityanath over the Bulandshahr incident where two sadhus were found dead inside a temple on Tuesday morning.

“I have spoken to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister over the Bulandshahr incident. We are against such infernal acts and we are with you,” the official handle of CMO Maharashtra tweeted.

Moreover, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray said that he hopes the Uttar Pradesh government will take strict action against the accused over the killings of two sadhus.

“The way we have taken strict action against the accused in similar incidents, we hope that you (Yogi Adityanath) will also take action against the accused. However, I appeal that no one should give such incidents a communal colour,” Uddhav Thackeray said.

In a shocking incident, the dead bodies of two sadhus were found inside a temple at Pagona village of Bulandshahr on Tuesday. The deceased identified as Jagandas (55) and Sevadas (35) were killed on Monday night, allegedly by a man they had berated and accused of theft. The police informed that a man named Raju has been arrested and charged with murder.

The UP police have denied a communal angle to the Bulandshahr incident. Yogi Adityanath has also asked for a report on the killings of two sadhus.

Earlier today, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut also condemned the killing of two saints in Bulandshahr and appealed that the incident should not be communalised the way it was done over the Palghar mob lynching in Maharashtra.

It is interesting to note that after the Palghar mob lynching became a national issue, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath had called up Uddhav Thackeray demanding strict action against accused who killed two sadhus and their driver on April 16.
