Should the Mumbai Mayor resign? MNS workers think so

While condemning the alleged manhandling of a woman earlier by Mayor Vishwanath Mahadeshwar, MNS workers demanded his resignation while protesting outside his residence

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) on Thursday protested against Mumbai Mayor Vishwanath Mahadeshwar outside his residence at Byculla Zoo. While condemning the alleged manhandling of a woman earlier, the MNS workers demanded Mahadeshwar's resignation. 

MNS workers who were protesting at Mayor's bungalow demanded to meet him but were denied. Meanwhile, MNS General Secretary Shalini Thackeray went to Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) police station in order to register a case against Mayor Vishwanath Mahadeshwar.

On Sunday, a woman and her son died due to electrocution in Santacruz and the agitated locals were protesting against the administration on Monday. When the Mayor went to meet the protestors, it led to a clash and the Mayor was accused of manhandling a woman protestor.
