Mumbai - Terrifying Tuesday took everyone by surprise, one decision and the whole nation was shocked. PM Narendra Modi announced demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes. People ran out of their houses to exchange their notes, long queue outside ATM's and Cash deposit kiosk was seen. Till 11 November old notes can be use for transaction in some places such as -
1. Hospital
2. Petrol Pumps and CNG gas stations
3. Railway ticket counters
4. Cemeteries
5. International Airport
6. Bus Fares
Few guidelines to transact your Rs 500 and 1,000 currency notes -
Can exchange notes between 10 November and December 30
Deposit old notes in Banks, Post office accounts
Exchange notes showing ID proof
Up to Rs 2,000 can be transacted from ATM's by 18 November
Deposit old notes in RBI by 31 March 2017
