As the Sushant Singh Rajput death case increases tussle between Mumbai and Bihar Police, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh said that the matter was being investigated in a professional manner by the Mumbai Police and probe was progressing in the right direction. 

The Uddhav Thackeray government is constantly being questioned over the Sushant Singh Rajput’s case and the pressure has intensified with the intervention of Bihar Police. Recently, Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh briefed the media about the progress in the case. 

Singh informed that responses of 56 people have been recorded so far in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. He said that the Mumbai Police was investigating the case while catering to every possible angle. 

Earlier, there have been media reported which have suggested that Sushant Singh Rajput was suffering from bipolar disorder and was undergoing treatment for the same. Singh said that the Mumbai Police team was also investigating this aspect. 

The suicide of actor Sushant Singh Rajput has become a national issue and several developments in the case have generated demands on social media that the case is transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). 

However, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Deshmukh have backed the Mumbai Police in handling the case. Deshmukh ruled out the possibility of the case being transferred to the central investigation agency even after the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Parth Pawar demanded the same. 

Apart from this, Sushant had Rs 18 crore in his account, out of which Rs 4.5 crore is still in his account. It is being investigated whether Sushant's girlfriend Riya Chakraborty has taken Sushant's money. Param Bir Singh also said that Sushant's girlfriend Riya Chakraborty has been questioned twice in this case.

Meanwhile, Enforcement Directorate (ED) is investigating the monetary aspect of the case. Sushant Singh Rajput had ₹18 crores in is account and only ₹4.5 crores were left. It is being investigated whether Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty has taken the money or not.
