Union Minister Ramdas Athawale has demanded the immediate arrest of Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap over the #MeToo allegations levelled by Bollywood Actress Payal Ghosh.
“Allegations made by Actress Payal Ghosh against Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap should be investigated. Today I spoke to her over the phone,” Athawale said while claiming that Mumbai Police is working under pressure.

Recently, Ghosh levelled serious allegations against Kashyap saying that she was sexually harassed by the filmmaker. Payal tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Twitter seeking his help and alleged that her life is in danger because of the revelation made by her.
However, Kashyap has denied these allegations. He has called the allegations levelled against him as “baseless”. The filmmaker further said that in order to silence him, Payal has dragged other women and lied.
Athawale, Republican Party of India (A) chief, has also raised the issue of the alleged murder of Disha Salian in connection with the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. The RPI (A) chief claimed that Sushant’s ex-manager was murdered and didn’t commit suicide.
Athawale concluded that Disha has been murdered as she didn’t leave any suicide note and alleged that there was a plot to kill her in the film industry. He has demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry in the matter.
