Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader Sandeep Deshpande has put up an online survey to seek a response from the people about the ongoing lockdown amid the coronavirus outbreak in the state.

The questionnaire aims to seek a response from the citizens on whether lockdown should remain or not. The nine objective-type questions range from lockdown, education policies, medical attention and Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. It also seeks the response of citizens on the resumption of local train and state transport services.

The survey will remain open to register responses and comments till August 18, Deshpande tweeted. The survey also seeks response from the citizens over the Chief Minister’s decision to work entirely from home during the pandemic.

This comes after MNS chief Raj Thackeray cornered the Uddhav Thackeray government over lockdown restrictions. Thackeray demanded that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government should focus on unlocking business activities.

Earlier, the MNS chief demanded the Maharashtra government to allow gyms to operate in the state as per the guidelines issued by the central government. Thackeray pointed out that the gyms are closed since March and are facing huge losses.

He said that the Maharashtra government should allow the gymnasiums to open. Thackeray expressed displeasure over the decision to keep gyms closed in the state despite the central government allowing them to open their business.

Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) chief Prakash Ambedkar has also repeatedly asked the Maharashtra government to start unlocking business activities in the state, especially small businesses.
