As the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) on Thursday hold its Maha-Adhiveshan at Goregaon’s NESCO ground, a senior Shiv Sena member (or Shiv Sainik) congratulated the Raj Thackeray-led party for their major policy shift.

The MNS’ official twitter handle put up an audio recording of the conversation where the senior Shiv Sainik can be heard supporting the new stance of the Raj Thackeray-led regional party.

In a conversation uploaded by MNS’ official handle on Twitter, a senior Shiv Sena member called up MNS leader Rupali Patil and praised the regional party for its ‘new stance’.

A private conversation between two individuals shouldn’t be revealed. However, if the conversation has blessings and goodwill, there is no objection to share the same with people,” MNS handle on Twitter wrote.

The MNS has braced saffron and even unveiled a new flag. The earlier flag had from a mix of saffron, green and blue colours but the new one is completely saffron and comes with a royal stamp – used during Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s rule – replacing the train engine symbol.

The new royal stamp ‘symbol’ on MNS flag has also sparked outrage in parts of Maharashtra. Maratha organisations including Maratha Kranti Morcha and Sambhaji Brigade have raised objections on the use of royal stamp on MNS’ flag.

The party also appropriated Hindutva ideologue Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. Raj Thackeray, however, is yet to unveil the further plans for MNS.
