Residents residing near Mahul and Ambapada are getting affected due to the poisonous gases released by the refinery companies, believes Shiv Sena MLA Sunil Prabhu. He wrote to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and has requested him to take action.

In the letter, he mentioned how refinery companies in Mahul are polluting the air. Apart from this, these companies release chemical effluents into Mahal's creek which leads to water pollution. Due to this, residents’ health is at great risk and the state government is doing nothing despite the complaint, wrote Prabhu.

He further requested the CM that the state government should not rehabilitate people in Mahul until the Bombay High Court gives an order on the petition filed by the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) and National Green Tribunal (NGT).
