On 17 May, a special meeting has been convened by the State Government to pass the goods and service tax bill (GST). A special meeting of the two houses of the Legislature has been convened.
GST is to be implemented from 1st July. For which it will be passed in both for approval. Under Article 246 (a) of the Indian Constitution, the Central and State Government got the right to impose GST. In the session, the Maharashtra Goods and Services Tax Bill will be kept in the Maharashtra Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly.
