Mumbai - Due to the internal rivalry within the Samajwadi party, the party is now in danger. Neither side is ready to back off, and have approached the court to claim the official party logo. The Samajwadi Party has a considerable hold among Muslims in Mumbai. But the party cadres are now a confused lot, with the clashes within the SP on the one hand and the rising influence of the MIM on the other.
Hussain Dalwai, Nawab Malik, Aslam Shaikh, Sunil Ganacharya were the face of Mumbai Samajwadi Party. When these big names left the party, the party continued to be strong but due to the clashes within the party, the Mumbai wing of the SP is now on shaky ground, says the party's state president Abu Azmi.
The Maharashtra State Samajwadi Party is supporting Akhilesh Yadav. Taking advantage of this internal war, the MIM is trying hard to attract Muslims from the Samajwadi Party.
