Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, in a video conference with various task force doctors, stated that the objective of the government is to reduce the death rate to zero by increasing the number of medical facilities and carrying out large-scale check-ups without any negligence.

The CM asked the task force members from various districts to remain in constant communication with the state-level task force to make necessary changes in the COVID-19 containment plan. Thackeray further stated that proper and timely medical treatment should be given to the patients suffering from the coronavirus in all rural areas and the districts to the urban areas of Maharashtra.

Furthermore, the task force doctors from various districts interacted with the Mumbai state task force doctors through video conferencing. The task forces have been set up in all the districts as per the instructions of the Chief Minister.

On this occasion, Thackeray stated that the idea is to reduce the death rate to zero. There should be uniformity and uniformity in all the districts in terms of exactly how the treatments are being given. In view of this, the joint meeting between the task forces in the districts and the task forces in Mumbai has been organized.

Remarkable work in Mumbai

So far, the task force in Mumbai has done a good job. Initially, there were no drugs, now some special drugs are available in the city. Even though Dharavi, Worli and Malegaon have emerged as success stories being able to contain the spread of the coronavirus, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray insisted that this is not enough as more efforts are needed to bring down the mortality rate to zero.

Guidance by the doctors 

Meanwhile, Doctor Tatyarao Lahane moderated the meeting. The head of the task force, Doctor Sanjay Oak stated that from time to time guidelines will be issued for the medical treatment and everyone should pay close attention to it.

On the other hand, Doctor Rahul Pandit stated that special medicines are not important, however, taking care of the patients is very important, adding that it is crucial to keep oxygen available in all of the medical facilities.

Doctor Shashank Joshi along with Doctor Muffazal Lakdawala also discussed the treatment with the doctors and surgeons of the district all the while dispelling the doubts and giving suggestions about the COVID-19 treatment.

The meeting was also attended by Chief Secretary Sanjay Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Ashish Kumar Singh and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Vikas Kharge.
