After his parents' continuous persuasion, the information of the child was shared on Maharashtra Police WhatsApp group which was then further forwarded to Railway Police Force (RPF). The RPF located a child looking similar to Shubham in Akola and the parents were called to identify him. After the parents assured that it was Shubham, a process was facilitated between Akola District Child Welfare Office and Mumbai Police.
