LPG gas cylinder price hiked by INR 25; Check the latest rates here

With the latest hike from July 1, LPG price now has increased by INR 140 per cylinder in the last six months. The price remained unchanged in June.

Petrol and diesel prices in the country have already gone touched new highs with a three-digit figure in several metro cities. However, now the state oil companies have hiked the prices of domestic LPG cylinders by INR 25. The new rates will be applicable from July 1.

After this hike, a 14.2 kg domestic cylinder will now cost INR 834.50 in Mumbai and Delhi. In Kolkata, people will have to shell out INR 835.50 for a domestic cylinder, while in Chennai, it will cost INR 850.50.

With the latest hike from July 1, the LPG price now has increased by INR 140 per cylinder in the last six months. The price remained unchanged in June.

In February, LPG prices were revised thrice — INR 25 hike per cylinder on February 4, INR 50 per cylinder hike on February 15 and another hike of INR 25 on February 25.

In March, the price was again hiked by INR 25, whereas in April, there was an INR 125 rise in LPG price. Then a price cut of INR 10 was announced as international oil prices saw a dip.

Unlike petrol, LPG is available only at the market price across the country, though the government provides subsidies to a select group of consumers.

Generally, the LPG prices are revised at the beginning of every month.
