The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Thursday evening, July 7, announced restrictions on public movements at beaches across Mumbai, reports stated.

In an official statement released by the civic body, the BMC chief Iqbal Singh Chahal directed that during the period of orange and red alert by India Meteorological Department (IMD), the beaches in Mumbai shall be open for entry for general public between 6 am to 10 am only for morning walks.
