Sunburn Goa Festival 2020 to be held between December 27 and 29 at Vagator

Percept Live, creators of Sunburn, Asia’s biggest electronic dance music festival, officially announced the 14th Edition of the most eagerly awaited Sunburn Festival. The festival giant will present a stellar three-day live event showcase on 27, 28, 29 December 2020 at Vagator, Goa. The Festival will follow all health safety best practices and applicable COVID19 protocols issued by the government and WHO

This will be a limited capacity event and Sunburn Goa will ensure strict social distancing measures through the creation of PODs and Designated Areas across the sprawling venue in Vagator. These PODs and Designated Zones will see families or a group of friends socialize with one another only within the confines of their respective areas but with no one else outside their area or structure. 

Every attendee will have their designated space in front of the Main Stage. New entry and exit protocols will be in place to ensure guests safe passage to the festival. With COVID19 still posing a high-risk threat, these new rules will ensure enforced social distancing measures and safety for all attendees without taking away from the bonhomie and the lively open-air experience of Asia’s biggest and now Safest Music Festival. Talking about the same, Karan Singh, COO, Percept Live said, “COVID19 literally put the pause on life. In India, we have witnessed stringent lockdown measures since March 2020. An unprecedented 7 months of staying in and staying safe. Sunburn stayed with the fans throughout this period with a range of Digital and Virtual variants including ‘Sunburn @ Home’, ‘Sunburn Home Festival’, and ‘Sunburn For Goa’. With the Unlock procedures initiated and specially Unlock 5 permitting ground events, we figured it’s time to restart lives. Time to “Live Again”, and most importantly “Live, Love, Dance again”. Sunburn Goa 2020 will be a Limited Capacity, super safe event following global best practices and all applicable guidelines. Fan Safety is our top priority.”

All guests will have to mandatorily present the Aarogya Setu app for scanning to gain entry into the festival venue. Social Distancing will be strictly imposed by security personnel patrolling the venue and via cameras placed strategically across the entire festival site. VVIP tables placed at key points across the venue will ensure prompt service to guests, thereby ensuring their minimal requirement to walk around the site for F&B and other necessities. It will be mandatory for all fans to wear face masks during the entire course of the festival, and provisions will be made for regular thermal scanning, hand wash and sanitizers for guests across the festival ground in Vagator.

Sunburn will have a Zero Tolerance Policy towards any guest who breaks the Government mandated guidelines, and Sunburn event protocols at ‘Sunburn Festival Goa 2020’.

Given the limited capacity attendance due to COVID19 and with an aim to reach out to a wider fan base, the Sunburn Festival in Goa will be LIVE streamed across the Sunburn Social Media handles including Facebook, Instagram and YouTube to reach millions of fans around the world. Fans can choose to attend the live ‘Sunburn Festival’ in Vagator or enjoy the foot-tapping music, vibrant visuals, SFX, breathtaking LED effects and state-of-the-art AV broadcast into the comfort and safety of their homes around the world.

Sunburn will be partnering with several popular clubs across geographies to bring the “Sunburn Club’ festival experience to fans through live and recorded screenings. “Sunburn Echo”, the live stream brand variant, will be held across key cities pan India with an aim to recreate the entire surreal Sunburn Goa Festival experience for fans in their hometowns.
