Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nilesh Rane has repeatedly accused Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and state Environment Minister Aaditya Thackeray for their involvement in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.

Nilesh Rane, who is the son of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Narayan Rane, has once again attacked the father-son duo demanding their resignation for abusing their positing in the SSR death case.

Rane claimed that Uddhav Thackeray’s son’s - Aaditya Thackeray - name has appeared in the records of the Supreme Court. He further said that the involvement of Aaditya has been felt in the case and demanded the father-son duo to resign from their post.

“Uddhav Thackeray’s son’s name has appeared in Supreme Court records (in connection with the SSR death case). His involvement is felt in the case. You (Uddhav Thackeray) and your son will have to resign soon for abusing their positing,” Nilesh Rane tweeted in Marathi.

He further said that getting a name on the Supreme Court record is not a simple matter and Aaditya Thackeray’s name has been included in the same. The Bihar government’s counsel mentioned Aaditya’s name and the apex court didn’t remove it which means that his name is included in the record as an accused in this case, Rane added.

“Therefore, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Aaditya Thackeray must resign on moral grounds,” he asserted.

After the 26/11 terror attacks in Mumbai, then Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh had resigned on moral grounds after allegations were levelled against him. Now, the name of the Chief Minister’s son has been recorded in the SSR death case.

“The Chief Minister can intervene in the investigation of this case to save his son. Therefore, they should resign on moral grounds so there is a fair trial,” Rane asserted.

Earlier, Aaditya Thackeray had released a statement rubbishing all reports connecting him to the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. He said that the opposition was dragging his name unnecessarily.
