Day after being criticised, Parth Pawar met his grandfather and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) patriarch Sharad Pawar on Thursday at the latter’s residence in Mumbai. The meeting between the two lasted for about two hours.

Parth refused to speak to the media after the meeting. Earlier, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar also met his uncle, Sharad Pawar and refused to speak before the media.

Earlier, Sharad Pawar on Wednesday called Parth as immature and said that his demand was not worth paying attention to. “Parth has less experience. He is immature. I don’t give any importance to what he has said. I have known the Maharashtra and Mumbai Police for 50 years. I have 100 per cent faith in them,” the NCP chief said.

He also stated that the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput was unfortunate but expressed surprise over the way media was covering the case. His remarks against Parth came after the latter wrote to Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh demanding the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to probe the SSR death case.

However, his remarks didn’t go well with the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) leader including Sharad Pawar, all the ministers have expressed their confidence in the Mumbai Police to investigate the matter.

Parth’s meeting Sharad Pawar came after NCP MP Supriya Sule met her cousin, Ajit Pawar, at Mantralaya. She, however, had claimed that the meeting was in connection with the public works in her Lok Sabha constituency of Baramati.
