On Saturday, Rana was shifted to general ward from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). She was discharged on Sunday a day after her husband.

Independent MP Navneet Kaur-Rana and her husband Ravi Rana have tested positive for the coronavirus once again after being discharged from Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital. On the advice of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the couple has quarantined themselves in Mumbai. 

Navneet Kaur is an independent MP from Amravati and her husband is a three-time MLA representing the Badnera assembly constituency. They were both admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital after Navneet Rana’s health worsened. 

On Saturday, Rana was shifted to general ward from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). She was discharged on Sunday a day after her husband. However, both have tested positive again for the coronavirus and have quarantined themselves. 

Rana received initial treatment in Amravati and was shifted to the private hospital in Nagpur. However, as she developed a high fever and complained of breathing problem, Rana was taken to a hospital in Mumbai via ambulance. 

A dozen of other members of Rana family including their daughter, sister and parents. It is learnt that all 16 members of her family have tested positive for COVID-19.

On August 6, the couple had tested positive after their second test and were asymptomatic. They had tested negative in their first test for the coronavirus.

Meanwhile, Twelve persons have been tested positive for the coronavirus at Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar’s residence ‘Silver Oak’ in Mumbai. All those tested positive are the members of working staff including security staff and household workers. 

Maharashtra Public Health Minister Rajesh Tope had informed that Pawar tested negative for the coronavirus and has been advised to not go for any state tours for a few days.
