After his lewd remarks on women, Women's Commission issued a notice to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Ram Kadam over the same seeking a reply. However, Kadam has finally admitted to his mistake and made an unconditional apology to the women commission assuring that he will continue to work for women’s issues.

Women's Commission President Vijaya Rahatkar informed that Kadam on Monday made an unconditional apology over his remarks and promised to not make such statements about women in future.

During the celebration of Dahihandi in Ghatkopar, Kadam’s remarks led to a huge uproar among the political parties.

I will help you a hundred per cent. Bring your parents first and if they like the girl, we will arrange (read kidnap) her for you,” said Ram Kadam during Dahihandi celebrations.

Many women activists, from opposition parties, protested against Kadam outside his residence demanding Ghatkopar police to take strong action against the BJP MLA. A non-cognizable offence was also registered against him.
