While most of the protests carried out by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) are violent in nature, however, this time on Thursday it was a different picture. In Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) ‘L’ ward, MNS spokesperson Sandeep Deshpande left in anger after an argument.

Earlier, MNS alleged that corporator Sanjay Turde was not allowed to initiate any work from the civic body’s fund as the same was not being issued to the MNS corporator since the last few months. MNS further claimed that due to this, Turde’s efforts were being tarnished.

Consequently, MNS carried out a protest in which Deshpande and MNS leader Bala Nandgaonkar also participated. However, while talking to the BMC officials, Deshpande’s voice became loud and Nandgaonkar interrupted him telling him to let the officials speak. After that, Deshpande furiously went away from the vicinity.

During the meeting, we got into an argument with the civic body officials and we left peacefully after that. However, there was no dispute between me and Nandgaonkar,” MNS spokesperson Sandeep Deshpande told Mumbai Live.
