He has requested those who came in close contact with him to get themselves tested for the coronavirus.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nilesh Rane has tested positive for the coronavirus. He is the son of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Narayan Rane and is currently active in speaking about the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. 

Rane took to Twitter to inform that he has been tested COVID-19 positive and has quarantined himself on the advice of his doctor. He has requested those who came in close contact with him to get themselves tested for the coronavirus. 

“After initial symptoms of COVID-19, my report has come back positive for the coronavirus. I am in good health and have self-quarantined myself on the advice of the doctor. Everyone who has come in contact with me in last few days should get themselves tested,” Rane tweeted in Marathi. 

Rane took COVID-19 test after showing initial symptoms. He was testes positive for the coronavirus. Although Rane has quarantined himself, the treatment for COVID-19 is ongoing. 

Independent MP Navneet Kaur-Rana was also tested positive for the coronavirus. Recently, she was shifted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital from Nagpur via ambulance. This happened after her health worsened as she complained of breathing problem and developed a high fever. 

Her condition is now stable as she has been transferred from the ICU to General Ward. Navneet Rana, in a video, expressed that she has survived only because of people’s blessings.

Senior BJP leader Kirit Somaiya and his wife Dr Medha Somaiya, who is a professor by profession, also tested positive for COVID-19. They both are hospitalised and the treatment is ongoing.
