Shiv Sena Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday lashed out on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government saying that if the government fails to build Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, they won’t be allowed to come in power.

While addressing the media on his two-day visit to Ayodhya, Thackeray said that there is no hidden agenda regarding his visit but to seek blessings from Lord Rama. The Shiv Sena chief visited Ayodhya along with his family and thanked the Uttar Pradesh government and the local administration for their support.

After visiting 'Ram Janmabhoomi', Thackeray asserted that the current BJP government has a majority and the construction of Ram Mandir can be done easily. Earlier, the BJP did not have a majority but coalition government during Atal Bihari Vajpayee's reign.

BJP government is powerful and If this government doesn’t build Ram Mandir, who will? If the government accepts it cannot build the Mandir, Shiv Sena will take action accordingly. Did the government go to court for triple talaq or demonetisation?” Thackeray added.

The Shiv Sena chief returned to Mumbai in the afternoon on November 25. Shiv Sena's visit might have generated pressure on BJP over Ram Mandir issue.
