Union Home Minister Amit Shah and others in the Narendra Modi government have expressed their strong stand to implement National Register of Citizens (NRC) across the country.

Amid this, Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has demanded a similar programme to be implemented for all the states.

MNS leader Sandeep Deshpande said that the implementation of State Register of Citizens (SRC) will help to control the people coming from other ‘outside’.

State Register of Citizens should be implemented across the country. This will help to control the people coming from outside and will provide justice to the locals,” said Deshpande in a tweet.
