Ever since CM Uddhav Thackeray announced the Kanjurmarg Metro Car Shed, disputes have increased between BJP and Shiv Sena. Over the last few months, both the parties have spoken over the matter, and questions have been raised based on the credibility of the decision taken. Continuing the clash, former MP and BJP leader Kirit Somaiya has now made serious allegations against Thackeray and said that the decision was being taken only for their personal benefit.

CM Uddhav Thackeray, on Sunday, December 20, had interacted with the people of Maharashtra through Facebook Live, whereby he responded to the opposition by commenting about the Metro Car Shed and Kanjurmarg project in detail. Post this, former CM and Leader of Opposition, Devendra Fadnavis, has once again countered Uddhav Thackeray, and other BJP leaders have also criticized Thackeray's decision.

As per reports, Uddhav Thackeray was aware that the project would be delayed for four years after it was shifted to Kanjurmarg, but Kirit Somaiya took to Twitter to clarify the same stating that the same has eventually delayed now. The location of the metro car shed has not been decided yet, and the work at Kanjurmarg was stopped after Bombay High Court's order.

Furthermore, the committee from Thackeray government, in the report submitted, clearly stated the delay after the project shifted to Kanjurmarg. Despite this, CM Uddhav Thackeray has directed to move the project to Kanjurmarg.

Sharing more, Fadnavis had termed Uddhav Thackeray as arrogant, saying that the state would suffer a lot due to the Metro car shed issue. After the Facebook LIVE, Fadnavis once again said that the CM should not mislead people, and has demanded answers for the actions taken. He also mentioned that the 30-minute interaction has made the people realise that the report submitted by the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government needs to be read again.

Emphasising more, he asked the party to make this report public once again so that the truth related to the location, the role and other aspects are realised and known at the right time by the people of Maharashtra. Besides this, it is claimed that the project will also lead to a  huge financial loss for the next few years until it is functional. Former CM also lashed out by asking the party about the reason why they hid the plan to build a car shed at Kanjurmarg, while it could have been in Aarey.

Adding more, Fadnavis said that the city of Mumbai is emotionally involved in this metro project and 80 per cent of the tunnelling work was completed in his rule. He complemented Sharad Pawar and said that had he taken a decision, it would never be wrong, as he always takes practical decisions. Just like Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray should also discuss this with PM Narendra Modi.
