Four people contract COVID-19 at Silver Oak, Sharad Pawar tests negative

Four people including a cook and two security personnel deployed at Pawar’s Mumbai residence have been tested positive for the coronavirus.

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar has tested negative for the coronavirus. However, four people at Pawar’s residence - Silver Oak - in Mumbai have tested positive for COVID-19. 

Maharashtra Public Health Minister Rajesh Tope informed that Pawar was taken to Breach Candy Hospital on Sunday for COVID-19 test and his results have come out negative. 

While talking to reporters, Tope said that even though the NCP chief has tested negative he will be asked to not visit on state tours for a few days. The minister further informed that Pawar is safe but will be advised to not go for any state tours. 

Four people including a cook and two security personnel deployed at Pawar’s Mumbai residence have been tested positive for the coronavirus. Meanwhile, efforts are being made to trace those who came in close contact with the cook and security guards. 

Recently, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nilesh Rane tested positive for the coronavirus. Rane took to Twitter to inform that he has been tested COVID-19 positive and has quarantined himself on the advice of his doctor. He has requested those who came in close contact with him to get themselves tested for the coronavirus. 

Meanwhile, Independent MP Navneet Kaur-Rana was also tested positive for the coronavirus. Recently, she was shifted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital from Nagpur via ambulance. This happened after her health worsened as she complained of breathing problem and developed a high fever.
