On Monday, April 25 in the all-party meeting conducted by the Maharashtra government on the loudspeaker row it was decided that a delegation would meet the Central government and conduct discussions about the solution to the loudspeaker issue in Maharashtra.

The same information was revealed by state Minister, Aaditya Thackeray, in a report by news agency ANI. To this, the state Home Minister, Dilip Walse Patil added that it is the government’s responsibility to maintain law and order.

Patil remarked that the police would take action if someone violates the law and order in the state. He further elaborated on how if the Union undertakes a national-level rule on the loudspeaker, issues will not arise in states.

The state home minister said that there weren't any provisions for the Maharashtra government to remove or install loudspeakers. In the all-party meeting, it was reportedly decided that the government must take all steps to ensure law and order and act accordingly.

He added that the Supreme Court had earlier in 2005 given a decision on the regulations of loudspeakers. In light of this, the Maharashtra government issued government resolutions on the use of loudspeakers, its permission on timings and decibels.

Therefore, in the all-party meeting, it was decided that an all-party delegation will meet the Centre to discuss this.

In other developments, prominent political leaders such as MNS Chief Raj Thackeray, former CM, who is also the Leader of Opposition, Devendra Fadnavis and Maharashtra Chief Minister did not attend the meeting.

Fadnavis, later held a press conference to address why the party skipped the meeting. He said that while they received an invitation from Patil for the all-party meeting, they didn’t go for it considering what has transpired in the last few days.

He was quoted in accounts elucidating that if someone has taken the role of Hitler, they felt it was better to fight instead of communicating. He reportedly uttered, “If they feel that by doing such attacks they will stop our fight against corruption, then it is their mistake. BJP leaders are being implicated in fake cases. If the High Court is calling those cases bogus, then they are questioning the High Court itself.”

Fadnavis further questioned what is the use of going for a meeting in such a condition. He believes that whatever is transpiring in Mumbai is being done at the behest of Thackeray. He pronounced that if the CM is not present at the meeting what is its use.

The leader of the opposition vocalized that the state government wishes to crush and kill the opposition. He questioned if the Hanuman Chalisa would be spoken in Pakistan if not Maharashtra.

He announced, “If sedition charges get imposed on Navneet & Ravi Rana, we will all chant Hanuman Chalisa. If the govt has the guts, try charging us with sedition.”

The BJP leader then requested NCP workers to come and chant Hanuman Chalisa with him in front of his residence. He mouthed, "We will continue to recite Hanuman Chalisa always. We want to see if this govt follows the orders of the Supreme Court, if not, we will plan our strategy."
