However, in a latest update, it has come to light that MNS chief Raj Thackeray to not participate in the all-party meeting called by the state government to resolve the loudspeaker dispute.

Amid spiraling strife over the loudspeaker issue at religious places, the Uddhav Thackeray-led Maharashtra government has called an all-party meeting today, April 25 and to ensure that law-and-order is in place.

However, in a latest update, it has come to light that MNS chief Raj Thackeray to not participate in the all-party meeting called by the state government to resolve the loudspeaker dispute. It is pertinent to note that, this row of loudspeakers erupted after the MNS Chief Raj Thackeray declared that loudspeakers be removed from mosques before May 3.  

MNS leaders Sandeep Deshpande said that he would be attending the meeting along with Bala Nandgaonkar, and Nitin Sardesai. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Kirit Somaiya will attend the meet.

Moreover, former CM, who is also the Leader of Opposition, Devendra Fadnavis and Maharashtra Chief Minister will not be attending the meeting.

The meeting has been called by the State Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil at 11.30 am. He will chair the meeting along with Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.

He added that an attempt was being made to create communal violence in Maharashtra with a view to impose President’s Rule in the state.

Meanwhile, in order to prevent communal violence or riot-like situation, the Mumbai Police have prepared a list of elements over the use of loudspeakers at religious places.

These developments came at a time when the loudspeaker issue is brewing political controversy in the state.

Additionally, a BJP delegation will meet the Home Secretary in Delhi on April 25 at 10.15 am in connection with the assault on Somaiya.
