Former Maharashtra Chief Minister, Uddhav Thackeray gave a maiden marathon interview to Shiv Sena MP and Saamana executive editor, Sanjay Raut in the aftermath of the collapse of the MVA government. The Shinde-led rebellion toppled the government and in the interview, Thackeray reportedly claimed that NCP Chief Sharad Pawar did not ditch him but in fact, it was his own party legislators that betrayed and deserted him, reports stated.

According to accounts, the interviews are slated to be published on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 26 and 27 respectively. However, two teasers of the interview were released wherein the Shiv Sena President can be seen lashing out at the newly appointed Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde and Devendra Fadnavis. He allegedly took a jibe at them by quoting a Bollywood song, "Hum tum ek kamre mein band ho aur chavi kho jaye." This is reportedly a reference to Shinde and Fadnavis running the government without a cabinet expansion. The duo was sworn in on June 30.

Thackeray went on to exclaim that he was not deterred by the rebellion because he will work hard to rejuvenate and revive the party across the state. He went on to speak about his health by claiming that while many wished for his speedy recovery, others were wishing the opposite. He opined that the rebels wish to separate the party and him with an eye on the post of the Shiv Sena chief, narratives mentioned.

Based on reports, Thackeray added that Shiv Sena's Hindutva is real while that of the BJP is fake. He questioned if Nitish Kumar is a Hindutvawadi because the party is sitting in Bihar with him. He believed that if they have done something wrong or had committed a crime, the public will tell them that. However, he uttered that the rebels don't have guts because they are deceitful and impotent.

It has been reported that he also elaborated on how he did not stick to the chair of the Chief Minister. He also voiced that he promised to make a Shiv Sainik the CM. Thus, while he has fulfilled that promise, he will not sit quietly but will work to further strengthen his party.
